Register for Improv or Sketch 101
A journey of a thousand laughs begins with a single click. Comedy legends like Will Ferrell, Tina Fey, Steve Carell, and Amy Poehler all got their start at an Improv/Sketch 101 course. But whether you want to become the next big thing in film or are just looking for some fun, ImprovBroadway classes are a great way to learn the art of improv and improve your speaking, performing, and social skills. So...what are you waiting for? Or, as improv comedian Carol Pilbasian from Last Man on Earth would say, "for what are you waiting?"
This class introduces the basics of long-form improv. Students will learn how to use "yes-and," playing at the top of your intelligence, active listening and support to create comedic improvised scenes.
This class introduces the basics of short-form comedy writing. Students will learn how to find the game of the sketch, write in different formats (parody, topical, etc.), as well as pitching and "punching up" material.
