SATURDAY NIGHT MAINSTAGE CAST

Adam Broud

Picture
Adam Broud went on a date with a girl once who described him as, “Suspiciously funny.” He still doesn’t really know what that means, but that’s gotta be pretty funny, right?

Adam, of course, performs improv, but he also performs stand-up comedy, writes sketches, and writes screenplays. He's a real jack-of-all trades so long as those trades involve writing jokes.

Adam's include being a cast member for Dry Bar Comedy’s A Night at the ImprovBroadway, opening for cast members of Whose Line is it Anyway?, performing with UCB in LA, writing for the sketch group Studio C, writing the internationally award-winning short film "Hello, Caller", and hosting Utah's largest, monthly stand-up show, Comedy Church. Check out more of Adam's stuff at

Brady Amundson

Picture

Bryson Alejandro

Picture
Bryson Alejandro is an actor, writer and film producer. He can be seen acting in commercials, web series, and the occasional co-star role on TV. In his college years, he performed with BYU's Divine Comedy and Humor U. Each summer he teaches comedy to youth at the BYU Sketch Comedy Workshop. He has been performing with ImprovBroadway since 2017 and is lovin' it!

Leah Higginbotham

Picture
Leah has been performing with IB for 3 years. Improv is her dream activity because she is incredibly lazy and enjoys the idea of goofing off for a couple of hours and still getting praise and adulation.  She studied theater at Southern Utah University and the University of Utah a very long time ago.  Now you can find her homeschooling her 5 kids, kissing her awesome husband, remodeling her cool old house, gardening, or talking to her 10 chickens as if they were real people.  Leah is the "Improv Mom" and makes sure everyone has been eating their vegetables, sleeping enough, and getting plenty of hugs.

Samuel Forsey

Picture
Sam isn’t actually an improviser or comedian, he just won a bet with Zach one time. If you can’t afford video games, you can watch him play them at twitch.tv/pinkwasp

Shae McCombs

Picture
At an early age, Shae’s crush and comedy hero was Larry the Cucumber. Someday she’ll release a hit album called “Silly Songs With Shae” that is just as funny but a lot less religious.

Shae is an improv performer, an occasional actor, a comedy writer, and sings songs on the YouTube Channel, Musical Monday. Some say she has a bright future, but she knows she peaked when she opened for Colin Mochrie.

Zach Atherton

Picture
That man that needs an introduction but doesn't have one. Just watch Musical Monday on YouTube.

FRIDAY NIGHT HOUSE CAST

Jackson Holladay

Picture
Jackson has been doing improv comedy since he was 13 years old, and after people started laughing at him he mistook it that they were laughing with him and decided to keep doing it. Jackson has performed in various improv theatres around Salt Lake City, at Thanksgiving Pointe, and FanX (2019). He is incredibly excited to be performing with ImprovBroadway.

Matt Hamblin

Picture
Despite always loving comedy, Matt has been considered shy and quiet for most of his life, so becoming a comedian was a bit of a shock for everyone, him included. His first attempt at comedy was a last minute unplanned audition for a sketch comedy group that went better than expected, and that initial thrill and burst of possibility lead to joining a standup comedy group, interning and taking classes at ImprovBroadway, starting an improv team, and eventually become part of the cast at Improv Broadway. Matt has performed with Humor U, the Hive, hosted at Dry Bar Comedy, and performed standup and musical improv with ImprovBroadway.

Ryan Quenneville

Picture
Ryan started his improv journey with Jester’Z Improv in Mesa, Arizona. Ryan then moved to Los Angeles and studied at iO West (RIP) where he performed on the main stage with his team “Slow Hustle”. He has performed at many theaters in both Arizona and Los Angeles and is now happy to claim Improv Broadway as his new improv home.

SWING CAST

Joe Balanza

Picture
Joe Balanza has been improvising for 4 years in Utah and has been in films and tv in Utah as well. Most recently Joe has been cast in the sketch comedy tv show Studio C.

Kenny Baldwin

Picture
During his first solo in a kindergarten chorus concert at the age of five, Kenny's voice cracked and his comedic career began! As a high school student, he wrote, produced, and directed his first full-length play and worked as a freelance musical director for community theaters around Ventura County, California. He got a comms degree and a law degree from BYU and founded BYU's two-week live-in Sketch Comedy Workshop for high school students
Kenny loves to write. Whether he's working on ad campaigns for Harmon Brothers, teaching comedy writing as a university adjunct, or pursuing his passion for historical fantasy novels, he's most at home in front of a crowd or at a keyboard.
Performance credits include: BYU's Divine Comedy, Improv Broadway, Evermore Park

IMPROV PIANISTS

Cameron Nokes

Picture
Cameron Nokes, pictured here with his melodica, grew up in Florida but left before he ever became a "Florida man". Since moving to Utah, he graduated from BYU, married his wife Danielle, and has 3 kids. Cameron has enjoyed music from a young age and started playing
piano at age 14. He enjoys playing for Improv Broadway and for a local classic rock cover band Cameron works at Domo as a software engineer.

KC Ushijima

Picture
Since 2005, KC has played piano and guitar for various improv comedy groups, both short form and long form.  He got his start in theater & the performing arts during his junior year of high school when the guidance counselor helped him pick out classes, and suggested the theater class.  Ever since then, it has opened up an interesting and enigmatic life.  Follow him on IG/FB/Tik @KCUtah.

Maria Archibald

Picture
Maria has been improvising music for many years, because of her disdain for reading sheet music. Before working at IB, she taught piano lessons, played in musicals, and performed in choirs. She started playing for Improv comedy joints in late 2020 and enjoys watching Improv shows for the small price of playing the piano (which is really not a price at all). In addition to playing music, Maria also writes stand-up material, draws cartoons, and sometimes attends improv practices as an actor and not a pianist. When not trying to be funny or talented, Maria listens to podcasts and does homework.

Nathan Schaumann

Picture
Nathan was classically trained on the piano from the age of 4, but in his teen years he discovered a love for pop music and musical theater. Now, as a freelance musician who refuses to get a “real job”, he has found a home at ImprovBroadway!

Sierra Livermore

Picture
Sierra takes great pride in being a part of a comedy group...but contrary to what you may assume, she's not actually funny...she just plays piano in the corner. Sierra has been performing with ImprovBroadway for over 2 years now and still considers herself their biggest fan. She loves every show she's watched, either from the audience or from the stage. She currently works in the mental health field and is studying to become a Marriage and Family Therapist. She believes that laughter is the best medicine and recommends a night out to ImprovBroadway to anyone and everyone!
